Policies

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SUGAR BUBBLES TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER. By using this site you agree to the following and must check a box during checkout to indicate the fact that you have read and accept our policies. Without checking the box your order will not process so please be mindful when purchasing.

We reserve the right to cancel an order at our discretion, at any time and issue a full refund.

RETIRING

I (Candy) am going to be retiring in Jan 2022. We will stop shipping completely some time in 2021 and as of Jan 2020, we will ship Canada wide only. We do have a succession plan in place so watch for some exciting news coming up in 2020!

ONLINE SELECTION

Please note: We only offer a selection of our products on our website. This is due to in-store demand among other factors. We are a tiny team of makers and keeping our shelves full is very crucial to the success of both of our stores. We do not offer our Perfumes, Body Oils, Facial Products, Makeup, Massage Bars, Hand Products or Foot Products (to name a few) in our online boutique.

RETURNS

Due to the personal nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges, no exceptions. If you received a defective product, please let us know within 48 hours. We will then make every effort to determine the nature of the defect. We may require you to return the product to us for inspection. In this case, the return shipping charges must be paid by the sender and if we do find the product was defective, we will refund return shipping charges, product purchase price plus the original product shipping charge for that product only. Please note: Return/defective products must be sent tracked with signature We cannot be responsible if the return package is lost in the post.

 CANCELLATIONS

 Once you have placed your order, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel it for you. If the order has been picked and packed for shipping, we do not offer refunds, no exceptions. If you contact us before the order has been pick and packed we may offer a refund minus processing fees but this it at our discretion.

GIFT WITH PURCHASES

All gift with purchases are one per customer. Weights and sizes will be listed clearly. Gifts are not labeled for individual sale but will contain ingredient info. Qualifying total will ALWAYS be the order total BEFORE shipping and taxes and AFTER any discounts have been removed. GWP dates will always be clearly listed. We usually put GWP info up on our site a couple days before the promotion starts. Please understand that even if you add a free gift to your cart and check out, it will not be included if it does not fall inside the actual promo dates. Promo dates will always begin at midnight Atlantic Time. GWP promo will end at midnight Atlantic Time OR when quantities run out, which even comes first!

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Our gift certificates are a bit tricky unfortunately. Certificates purchased ONLINE, may only be redeemed on ONLINE purchases. They can't be used in store. Reason: our online store will only allow one use. In theory, someone could print off two copies and use one in our Seabright store and one in our Mahone Bay store.

Our IN-STORE gift certificates (paper certificated purchased in one of our stores) may only be redeemed IN-STORE, and will not work online. They are tracked manually and our website will only recognize certificates that it generates electronically.

YES!! This is poopy, but I would need a new system to be able to fix this and we are on our 3 year notice to retirement in (2021 is our last year) so it will remain the same.

ONLINE certificates DO NOT technically expire after 2 years (this is illegal in Nova Scotia). They do become inactive though so if you want to use it after 24 months drop us an email and we will reactivate!

 MISTAKES

Yes, we do make mistakes! Upon receiving your order, please inspect contents carefully for accuracy. If there is any discrepancy in your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package. We will always fix our mistakes as we take a digital photo of every packed box to ensure accuracy. If we have missed something, we will look it up, confirm and get your missing item/items sent out to you pronto or issue you a refund for your missing item/items! We reserve the right to decide whether you will receive a new product or a refund.

 PRODUCT USE BY DATES

Our soaps keep very well for long periods of time but the scent may fade if left unwrapped. Any products that come in a bottle or jar are considered 'fresh cosmetics' and are formulated to be used within three months, when they are at their best.

PRODUCTS IN PHOTOS

Please be aware that all products are handmade and differ bar to bar, soap to soap. The photo shown is a representation of the item you will receive but is not the actual product we will ship. Each item is different, unique and imperfect by nature. That is the beauty of buying Handmade! Plus, we tend to make things with slight differences every time...artistic expression.

If a photo contains more than one product, please understand that only ONE product will ship unless otherwise stated in the listing.

LOYALTY PROGRAMS

We offer an in-sore Reward Card program and on our website we offer a Canadian Flat Rate and a Nova Scotian Free Shipping program. If you prefer our in-store program, please make your purchases in one of our stores. We will not apply online purchases to our Reward Cards. No exceptions as our shipping program is very expensive to run.

STORING YOUR SOAP

Soap and products with toppers such as strawberries and chocolate chunks are best stored in low humidity. The toppers draw moisture from the air and causing 'soap sweat'. Great for your skin, not so great for the soap below! Never leave your handmade soap sitting in water or it will turn to mush.

BUY SMALL

If this is your first time purchasing, we suggest you buy in small quantities to see if our products will be suitable for you. Our products vary in scent from nearly naked to heady and sublime and everything in between. Please be cautious when purchasing to avoid disappointment.

CURRENCY

Prices are in Canadian Dollars and are exclusive of tax. Sales tax will be added to orders after shipping charges at the time of check-out. We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time and refund the full purchase, tax and shipping price.
